Abstract

Function Point Analysis (FPA) is primarily used in size, complexity and cost (monetary or time-based) estimation of software projects. The overall objective of this paper is to present advantages and disadvantages of applying this method in the evaluation of various projects. The study and discussion results prove that there is a need and opportunity to search new evaluation models based on FPA. Considering this study, the Modified FPA Model is proposed.
