Abstract

The importance of scale issues is described in this paper. It also expounds the situation of the study on scale effect, scale transformation and optimal scale selection. Then, several scale transformation algorithms have been discussed. And the technical characteristics of optimal scale selection method based on pixel and object are researched. In the end, the paper investigates the future directions of the scale issues.
