Abstract

In the development of the information society, transformation processes are taking place in all areas of the economy. The economy of the leading countries of the world in the era of globalization and informatization is actively developing the digital economy sector. This leads to the fact that most of the economic relations are moving into the sphere of information and virtual space. Due to the fact that this type of economic activity is quite young and does not yet have traditions in countering economic crimes, the economic security of the state requires a special approach to study. This is especially true for Russia, a country that is significantly behind in the development of this direction of the economy in almost all respects. The issue of social obligations of the state in ensuring the economic security of the country should occupy a special place in this matter. This is because without competent state social protection of economic relations, all other measures to ensure economic security (technical, informational, legal, etc.) will be powerless. In the current research the authors concluded that the social responsibilities of the state originate from the generic characteristics of the state itself as a phenomenon. A study of the state of economic development of modern Russia showed that the state, not fulfilling its social responsibilities, puts a direct blow to the country’s economic security. To solve the existing problems, it is necessary to develop not only traditional and informational concepts of economic security, but also anthropological ones aimed at protecting people as the main subject of economic activity of the state.
