Abstract

Under the current Internet economic model, the entertainment industry has shown a strong development trend. TV variety shows are the product of the development of the entertainment industry to a certain level. Among them, the emotional variety show on the topic of marriage and love, as a special variety show, has always been the darling of the screen. After the traditional marriage and love variety shows like “If You Are the One” and “Let’s Date” aired, many TV stations are also trying to launch marriage and love variety shows, but the ratings are not very impressive. However, “New Blind Date Conference” as a new program has suddenly emerged and won a very high rating. Based on the theory of use and satisfaction in communication psychology, this paper analyzes the reasons for the high ratings of “New Blind Date Conference”, and provides a reference for subsequent marriage and love programs.
