- Abstract
This paper explores the relationship between belts and ancient social concepts through an overview of the evolution of Chinese belts through the ages. As an important part of ancient costumes, the belt is not only a kind of decoration, but also a symbol carrying culture, hierarchy and social ideas. Then the waist belt is studied in depth from the aspects of its modeling, use function and structural characteristics, and the connotation of the ancient people's thoughts in the social environment at that time is revealed through the perspective of the development of the waist belt.
