Abstract

A good design of a website is user-friendly. It means users can understand its content easily, which needs to be considered from the user's perspective. No matter what kind of website, their goal is to deliver effect message easily for users. The mental model is used to reflect user’s inner thinking mode. Only in line with the user's way of thinking can website has further development. This paper used the method, Pathfinder network, to analyze the relationship between user mental model and information acquisition, and estimated which factors will affect user mental model in the process of information acquisition via the partial catalogue of JD Shopping Website.
