The "Journal of Robotics, Networking and Artificial Life" (JRNAL) publishes original research papers in the fields of industrial engineering and management. JRNAL accepts original research articles and book review articles. Only papers that fall within the aims and scope of JRNAL will be considered for publication.
High quality research papers are considered for publication if they have not been published previously and are not under consideration elsewhere. Authors are reminded that papers are published to be read and should compose their works with as wide audience in mind as is consistent with the maintenance of scientific quality.
Once the article has been prepared using the JRNAL guidelines and style files below, please submit a LaTeX file or Word file, as well as a PDF version of the paper, by email only to the editor-in chief:
Prof. Dr. Masanori Sugisaka
For the submission of a paper in LaTeX or Word, the author is required to read and use the instruction files, templates and samples which have been prepared by Atlantis Press. For both LaTeX and Word a ZIP file is available. For LaTeX instructions, please click here. For the Word instructions, please click here.
The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal or conference proceedings is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, the publisher and the society of society-owned or sponsored journals.
JRNAL is published under the Creative Commons (CC) licence. Copyright of the articles published in JRNAL is handled conform to the Creative Commons License number 4 agreement (attribution, non-commercial) (see for details: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/). When submitting your paper, you will be required to accept this licence.
Please note that the copyright remains yours, meaning that you, as an author, will keep the ownership (copyright) of your article.
After a first check whether the paper is within the aims and scope and of reasonable scientific quality, all papers are reviewed by at least one external referee and by one member of the Editorial Board.
Based on their review reports a final assessment will be made by the Editor-in-chief. The Editor-in-chief takes the final decision on the acceptance of a reviewed paper. Four outcomes are possible:
After submission the corresponding author receives a confirmation of reception. Due to the many papers we receive the review process may currently take 2-3 months, but this depends strongly on the subject and the details of the article. Our main policy is not to compromise on quality, so in some cases the reviewing time can be longer. Once a paper has been accepted for publication you will be asked to pay the Article Processing Charges for the Open Access publication of your paper. Once this payment is received, the paper will be elaborated by our copy-editor, so that it is suitable for on-line publication. Before its publication, the galley proofs of the paper will be sent to the corresponding author for proofreading.
All papers as Open Access papers. Papers will be prepared for on-line publication after acceptance by the editor-in-chief and once the Article Processing Charge has been paid. From then on they will be available in PDF to anyone free of charge. Authors will receive a copy of the final file as published in the journal, incl. the journal formatting and page numbers.
