Abstract

In this paper, the viscosity of different kinds of biodiesel samples was measured at 10 to 80. A model of kinematic viscosity estimation is proposed with very good fitting to experimental data. The optimized empirical formula has the advantages of small relative error, small error range and no obvious error fluctuation. On the basis of the optimized empirical formula, the concept of viscosity gradient of biodiesel and the concept of critical preheating temperature of biodiesel are proposed in this paper. The viscosity gradient, critical preheating temperature and application range of three kinds of biodiesel are obtained by analyzing the viscosity of different kinds of biodiesel samples.
