- The purpose of this research was to investigate the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model by using Edmodo application media to improve the quality of the teaching learning process organic chemistry 1 course. This research was a classroom action research and conducted in 3 cycles, where each cycle consisted of several stages, namely: planning, implementation, action, observation, and reflection. The instruments used in this study were observation and test sheets collected from lecturers' and student’s observation. The results show that application of TPS type of cooperative learning model by using Edmodo application media can improve the student’s learning outcomes in organic chemistry course that can be seen from the average of the value of cycle 1, 2 and 3 (56.58; 80.54; and 89.73, respectively). Student learning activities also increased gradually from the first to third cycle, of which the student’s average scores of cycle 1, 2, and 3 were 29.5; 33; 36.5, respectively.
