Proceedings of the 2017 International Conference on Applied Mathematics, Modeling and Simulation (AMMS 2017)

Thanks to cooperation of all parties, the 2017 International Conference on Applied Mathematics, Modeling and Simulation (AMMS2017) will be held in Shanghai, China from November 26-27, 2017. There is no doubt that applied mathematics, modeling and simulation are of great technical significance to the intelligent system research and application. While there are several conference series that deal with some aspects of these topics, there are few opportunities to tie together these three closely related themes at a fundamental level. This conference is thus designed to facilitate a discussion of established theories, explore new ideas and identify avenues where future research is required.

The Advanced Science and Industry Research Center, as the organizer of AMMS 2017, has provided substantial support and help to ensure the smooth progress of the conference. Meanwhile, we are fortunate enough to obtain the keynote speech of Prof. Takashi Kuremoto, from Yamaguchi University, Japan. With more than 300 publications including books, journal papers, and proceedings of international conferences and domestic symposiums, Prof. Takashi Kuremoto is also a member of IEICE, IEEE, IIF and SICE. Inspired by the research interests of Prof. Takashi Kuremoto, who has made an outstanding contribution to this field over many years, AMMS 2017 aims to highlight.

Before the conference, we posted our want for qualified papers in related fields. Based on this, we invited leading experts from all around the world to constitute the AMMS 2017 Technical Program Committee to take charge of reviewing process. Time is tight, but they still picked out the most excellent papers for us. Hereby, I would like to express our warmest gratitude to all committee members.

In AMMS 2017, double-blind peer review methods are employed to maintain standards of quality, improve performance, and provide credibility. It means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers through the review process. To facilitate this, authors need to ensure that their manuscripts are prepared in a way that does not give away their identity. Indeed, we received many submissions and through the restrict selection, lots of papers live up to our requirements. Then, the committee members assigned 2 members to review these papers based on originality, technical and research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. If they were not in agreement, the third person would review it again.

Until the submission deadline, we have received 347 papers. After reviewing, 104 papers are accepted. In this volume, the accepted submissions are included in 3 chapters.

Chapter 1: Mathematics and Applied Mathematics
Chapter 2: Modeling and Simulation
Chapter 3: System Analysis and Optimization Design

The editors are grateful to the sponsors, the refereeing committees, the distinguished authors and Atlantis Press for publishing those outstanding papers. Look forward to meeting you in Shanghai!
