The 2023 3rd International Conference on Business Administration and Data Science (BADS 2023) took place from October 20th to 22nd, 2023, in Kashgar, China (virtual event), attracting about 100 delegates around the world.

BADS 2023 was an interdisciplinary platform for the presentation of new advances and research results in business administration and data science. It aimed to bring together leading scientists, researchers, practitioners, and other personnel to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the domains of interest from around the world to share their experiences and research results and exchange views on related aspects.

Prospective authors are kindly encouraged to contribute to and help shape the Conference through submissions of their high-quality research abstracts, papers, posters, and other research contributions describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, constructive, empirical, experimental, or theoretical work in all related areas of business administration and data science, and speakers are cordially invited for presentation at the Conference. The themes of the Conference cover but are not limited to: enterprise management modernization, big data analytics for enterprises, blockchain technology and regional economy, e-commerce, and digital business.

At this meeting, we had a comprehensive overview of this fascinating field and of future scenarios thanks to the participation of outstanding delegates from all over the globe. Among them, Professor Pengguo Wang (University of Exeter, UK) addressed a keynote speech on big data and stock valuation. He focused his speech on the roles of big data and ML in stock valuation. The following aspects were covered: (i) The reason why stock valuation need conventional structured data and new unstructured data; (ii) the meaning of big data and machine learning; (iii) current applications of big data and ML in stock valuation; (iv) future research and practice of big data and ML in stock valuation. Their sharing of knowledge and experience has sparked heated discussion during the Conference and even in the break.
