Abstract

Social development is the driving force of translation research and practice. The green concept has taken deep roots in people’s hearts with increasing global ecological awareness. Therefore, green development has become the focus of global ecological civilization construction. “Strengthening ecological consciousness and green consciousness, shouldering ecological responsibility” has also become the main theme of the times. Green Translation conforms to this green trend, emphasizes the translator’s green concept, green behavior, and the green value of the translation. As a kind of plant which occupies a large proportion in Tang poetry, “flower” owns high ecological value and significance. Taking the translation of 300 Tang Poems as an example, this paper applies the concept of Green Translation to the treatment of “flower” image in Tang poetry and tries to discover its practical significance.
