Abstract

Homework is the extension and beneficial supplement of college English classroom teaching in higher vocational colleges. Based on the analysis of the current situation of assigning college English homework in higher vocational colleges, the principles of assigning homework are put forward in this paper. And under the guidance of those principles, taking the 21st Century Practical College English: Book II as an example, the practice of assigning homework is carried out in order to improve students' English application ability and teachers' teaching effect.
