Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Contemporary Education, Social Sciences and Ecological Studies (CESSES 2019)

The 2nd International Conference on Contemporary Education, Social Sciences and Ecological Studies (CESSES 2019) was held on June 05-06, 2019 in Moscow, Russia.

The challenges of sustainable society development in the conditions of the global crisis in environmental ecology, culture and people identity are currently increasing. One of the major reasons for this is the growing impact of information technology on society and nature. The important ways to ensure sustainable society development include the advancement of education and its ecologization, the formation of the ecological worldview, and the development of interdisciplinary research in the field of social ecology, philosophical and methodological problems of relationship between society, nature and technology.

This wide range of closely related issues was the focus of the 2nd International Conference on Contemporary Education, Social Sciences and Environmental Studies (CESSES 2019) taking place on June 5-6, 2019 in Moscow and Mytishchi, Moscow Oblast. The aim of the conference was to create a single platform for educators, researchers and students from different cultural backgrounds to discuss the issues of modern education, social science and environmental studies. Of high importance were the issues of human and environmental ecology in the technical environment, which were the subject of the EcoWorld-10 conference within the CESSES 2019.

The main venues for the conference were the premises of the Mytishchi Branch and the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities of Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Individual sections were held at the Russian University of Transport (MIIT) and the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.

The participants of the conference were the scientists, philosophers, educators and students of universities and other institutions from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Germany, Moldova, Mongolia, and Serbia. The subject of the conference and the issues discussed were of particular interest to Chinese scholars, many of whom submitted papers and participated in absentia.

The conference was jointly organized by Russian Philosophical Society, Bauman Moscow State Technical University (Russia), Bauman Moscow State Technical University Mytishchi Branch (Russia), International Sakharov Environmental Institute of Belarussian State University (Belarus), Russian Ecological Academy, Moscow State Institute of Culture (Russia), Russian University of Transport, Moscow State Technical University of Civil Aviation (Russia), Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation (Russia), People's Friendship University of Russia, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Psychological Institute of the Russian Academy of Education, Institute for Strategy of Education Development of the Russian Academy of Education, International Science and Culture Center for Academic Contacts (Russia) and Zhengzhou Yingchun Conference planning Co., Ltd. (China).

CESSES 2019 has received 521 manuscripts, and 318 submissions have been accepted by our reviewers. All papers included in this collection have undergone careful peer-review by three experts before being selected for publication.
