Abstract

For considering the losses of prestress in suspen-dome structure after pre-stress optimization using rigid cable method, an improved rigid cable method was proposed. The temperature stress is applied to corresponding element to compensate the loss of prestress, and the relationship between temperature and prestess loss is deduced. An example and engineering application are discussed. Results show that the improved rigid cable method is effective and applicable.
