Use of social networking sites for inter-cultural communication leads to appearance of various communities where topics, strategies and solutions are discussed. The research objective is to describe variability of translation strategies in translation from Russian to Hindi by translator and by speaker of the language. We consider the degree of equivalent correlation as exemplified by comparison of Russian and Indian realia in translation to Hindi with the aim of achieving inter-cultural communication. The subject of research is a translation of a text that includes religious vocabulary and its variant translations from Russian to Hindi.
