- Abstract
This paper explores the application of smart Internet of Things (IoT) devices and platforms for inclusion in e-learning. Smart objects and wearables enhance the interactivity and personalization of the learning process with IoT objects like smart boards and wearable devices. With these, real-time data can be obtained, and the feedback or observations are very much personalized. IoT devices are connected with cloud computing platforms, ensuring large-scale storage and processing of data, which can be used to meet the various learning requirements in a responsive learning environment. Further, the IoT-enabled systems assist disabled students by providing personalized learning paths and virtual study support coordinators. This article provides a literature review of IoT-enabled e-learning systems, discusses implementation issues, and outlines research directions for better inclusiveness and accessibility in education.
