Analysis of Factors Affecting Waiting Time for Outpatient Services at Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kota Kendari

Abstract

Outpatient waiting time at Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kota Kendari still remains an issue. Based on the result of the analysis of national quality indicators, unit quality, the quality of the first semester priority for the January-June 2024 period at Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kota Kendari finds that the achievement of outpatient waiting time at the polyclinic still does not reach the standart yet when compared to the achievement target of the National Quality Indicators (INM) ≥ 80% where the achievement of Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kota Kendari is only 49.38%. This study aims to find out the factors that affect waiting time at Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kota Kendari in 2024. This study used a cross-sectional design with univariate, bivariate, and multivariate tests. The population in this study was all patients who came to the four polyclinics with the highest number of patients with sampling techniques using the slovin formula which was divided by proportional sampling of 100 people. Data analysis used chi-square test and logistic regression. The results showed that there was an effect of registration services on polyclinic waiting time (0.014 < 0.05), there was an effect of providing medical record files on polyclinic waiting time (0.000 < 0.05), there was an effect of service timeliness on polyclinic waiting time (0.000 < 0.05). The variable of providing medical record files was the most affecting variable on polyclinic waiting time with the result of Exp(B) of 32.062.
