The Effect of Straw Addition on Properties of Slag Cement

- This paper mainly studied the influence of the amount of straw on the initial setting time and final setting time of the polymer cement, as well as the influence on the mechanical properties and thermal conductivity. Learning from the experiment, we could find that the porosity increased with the increase of straw and the strength of straw-polymer composites material gradually decreased. When the straw content reached to 7%, its strength was still up to 13.7MPa, at this time the thermal conductivity was 0.17W/m-K. Compared with aerated concrete, under the same coefficient of thermal conductivity, its strength was 2 times of aerated concrete.
