Abstract

Shape memory alloy is a new type of metal functional materials developed in recent decades. Because of its unique shape memory effect and super elasticity, etc., in many areas have a good application. In this paper, the basic properties of shape memory alloy and the application of shape memory alloy in the field of civil engineering are summarized. In the end, the existing problems and future development directions of the shape memory alloy in the field of civil engineering are pointed out.
