Abstract

Forward osmosis (FO) process is a new membrane separation process that developed in recent years; it is driven by the osmosis pressure difference of solution on both sides of membrane. Forward osmosis process don’t need to force energy-driven extra, and the main energy consumption of the whole craft focuses on draw solution regeneration process, therefore, draw solution process relates directly to the running cost of the whole forward system.
