Abstract

The Presidential Election in the 2019 is political event in the political dynamics in Indonesia. The development of Indonesian democracy has influenced the views and political behavior of politicians, with more dynamic and millennial politics. Political battles are characterized by a variety of political, issue and hoax fluctuations that are more prominent than political learning for the community. Community participation in politics is very much needed by using political rationalization so that there is no conflict between the communities themselves. The theory used in this study is the theory of political participation as one of the important aspects of democracy and the characteristic of political modernization. Political decisions made and carried out by the government, will affect and influence the lives of citizens, so citizens have the right to participate in determining political decisions. In addition to the theory of political participation also used the theory of community participation which involves groups or communities as a unit called collective participation and individual involvement in group activities can be called participation.
