The Indonesian Polytechnics Consortium (ISAS) and Politeknik Manufaktur Bandung has conceived the “5th International Conference on Applied Science Technology On Social Science (ICAST-SS) 2022” to serve as a platform to help the scholarly community across nations to explore the critical role of multidisciplinary innovations for sustainability and growth of human societies. The conference was held from October 21th 2022 to October 23th 2022 at Grand Preanger Hotel, Bandung, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. It was run by Hybrid platform, online and offline conference. This conference is aimed at providing opportunity to academicians, practitioners, scientists, and scholars from various disciplines to discuss avenues for interdisciplinary innovations and identify effective ways to address the regional and global challenges faced by our societies such as Implementation and socio-economic impact of industrial technology 4.0 in the face of society 5.0. The research ideas and studies that we received for this conference are very promising, unique, and impactful. I believe, these studies have the potential to address key challenges in various sub-domains of Engineering, Social sciences and Natural Sciences. The multidisciplinary track are chosen to strengthen collaboration research and support the conference main theme. There are smart manufacturing in digital transformation industry 4.0 for sustainable economic growth to face society 5.0. The scholars attending this conference will find it helpful in refining their own research ideas, finding solutions to basic/applied problems they face and interact with other renowned scholars for possible future collaborations. The scope of conference are Business intelligent systems, Development of the digital economy, Digital markets, Digital society, Smart cities, Modern e-learning technologies Socio-economic transformation, Digital tourism, and Supply chain management through IoT. I take this opportunity to thank our honourable scientific, review committee, committee members for their efforts in organizing this event, reviewing the contributions, helping the participants in publishing their research in affiliated journals by improving their quality through quality review process.
