We are pleased to present the proceedings and the Book of Abstracts of the 1st International Conference on Communication and Digital Multimedia 2025 (ICCDM 2025), organized by Sekolah Tinggi Multi Media, Indonesia. This conference serves as an international platform for scholars, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to share insights, exchange ideas, and discuss recent developments in the field of communication and digital multimedia.

ICCDM 2025 is held under the theme:
“Toward an Impactful Digital Multimedia Ecosystem: Innovation Technology, Literacy, and Governance.”

This theme reflects the growing importance of integrating technological innovation, digital literacy, and effective governance to build a sustainable and inclusive digital ecosystem.

The conference has attracted strong international participation, with contributors originating from Indonesia, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and other regions. This diversity highlights the global relevance of the topics discussed and strengthens cross-border academic collaboration.

A total of 112 manuscripts were submitted to the conference. After undergoing a rigorous review and compliance-checking process, 60 manuscripts were accepted for presentation and inclusion in the conference outputs. This selection process ensures that the published works meet academic standards in terms of originality, relevance, and contribution to the field.

The accepted papers cover a wide range of topics, including digital media transformation, multimedia innovation, digital communication, governance and regulation. Collectively, these contributions reflect current trends and future directions in communication and digital multimedia research.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all authors for their valuable contributions, to the reviewers for their dedication and constructive feedback, and to the organizing committee for their hard work in ensuring the success of this conference. We also extend our appreciation to the keynote and plenary speakers who have enriched the conference with their expertise.
