Abstract

The learning and cultivation of mother tongue culture is the basis for construction of mother tongue cultural identity. Language is the carrier and basic form of culture. Achieving cultural consciousness and proper use of negative language transfer can help to build students’ mother tongue cultural identity and help students establish an equal and tolerant cultural attitude in intercultural communication, cultivate students’ ability to respect, appreciate, and treat different cultures equally, strengthen national cultural confidence, and cultivate students’ patriotism.
