Abstract

Academic music in Vietnam from the very beginning of its history to the middle of the twentieth century was based on European genre samples. Among the composers who graduated from the conservatories in Moscow and Kiev, three composers are prominent: Nguyen Van Nam, Nguyen Trong Bang, Doan Nho.
