Abstract

The Yan's Family Rule is a classic work written by emperor's valet Yan Zhitui in Kingdom of Qi, who summed up his life experience, about conducting, managing, behaving, and learning. Among them, Volume One, "Managing the Family No.5" mainly talks about various matters concerning family management. It involves many things such as being the model, being modest and moderate, being frugal, careful marriage, love of books, and anti-superstition. It has an important guiding role in the construction of contemporary family style.
