Abstract

Possible world theory provides a new perspective and framework for the study of literary fiction. Possible world narratology holds that the characteristics of fictional world are mainly manifested in cognitive limitation and focus, semantic density, system nesting and impossible fictional world. The Mongolian heroic epic Janger has obvious fictional world features, which is consistent with the fictional world features of the theory.
