Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Creativity, Innovation and Technology in Education (IC-CITE 2018)
The 1st International Conference on Creativity, Innovation, Technology in Education (IC-CITE 2018) was organized by the Educational Science Majors, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Lambung Mangkurat, Banjarmasin, Indonesia. It was held on 23-24 November 2018 at Aria Barito Hotel Banjarmasin, Indonesia with the theme "Redesigning Educational Instruction for the 4th Industrial Revolution".
This conference aims to provide a forum of scientific communication and interaction among scholars, practitioners, researchers, teachers, lecturers, and students to share and discuss the theoretical and practical knowledge in Applied Education. In particular, this conference functions to accomodate discussions among researchers from within and outside Indonesia in the fields of Creativity, Innovation, and Technology in Applied Education, extend collaboration and network, as well as to become the medium of publication of the research results worldwide. In this conference, there were 86 abstracts submitted for oral presentations and only 71 accepted full papers for this conference.
This IC-CITE 2018 features 1 keynote speaker and 5 invited speakers who are well-known and academics in their fields. Based on careful consideration, the distinguished keynote speaker involved in this conference was Prof. Drs. Ahmad Suriansyah, M.Pd., Ph.D. from University of Lambung Mangkurat, Indonesia, and the distinguished invited speakers were Dr. Hj. Zainudin bin Hj. Hassan from Faculty of Education, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Dr. Juma Abdu Wamaungo, BACE, M.Ed. from Kyambogo University, Kampala, Uganda, Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd Hanafi Mohd Yasin from Faculty of Education, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Dr. Farooq Ahmed Jam, Ph.D. from University of Central Punjab, Pakistan, and Prof. Demetrios Sampson from Curtin University, Australia.
Finally, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to everybody who has participated and supported this IC-CITE 2018, among others Rector of University of Lambung Mangkurat, Dean of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Lambung Mangkurat, the distinguished keynote speaker and invited speakers, the experts who are members of the advisory board, and all presenters and participants who have participated in this conference. My appreciation also goes to all committee members for their excellent works in preparing and finalizing this document.
