- Abstract
With interaction going online, there is increasing importance placed on con- trol. Basic ways devices can break your flow: Kindergartens and devices such as key- boards and mice. The Gesture Based Media Control System (GMGS) repairs this by means of computer vision and machine learning. It allows hands-free media control. MediaPipe tracks hand movements at real time. It also implies that there is an SVM based classifier that can provide positive feedback for gestures to commands, such as, play, pause, volume control or track navigation. Thus, there is a delay mechanism that blocks actions which are not required and ensures working smooth. PyAutoGUI is used to perform the backend tasks in Python. The expressions of the human gestures are transformed into system commands. With no physical input, media control becomes easy and very useful. It generally automates the tasks and leaves the control to the user. The gain of GMCS is removing hands and touch interaction from using the media apps.
