It gives me great pleasure to welcome all participants of the 2016 International Conference on Computational Science and Engineering organized by Qingdao University and Qingdao Science Culture Communication Co., Ltd. I would also like to congratulate the committee members form Qingdao University for taking up the challenge of hosting this event.

The goal of the conference was to provide a unique opportunity to exchange information, to present the latest results as well as to review the relevant issues on contemporary research in computational science, algorithm, information technology, intelligent control and computer application technology. Young scientists were especially encouraged to attend the conference and to establish international networks with well-known scientists.

Coordinating with the 2016 International Conference on Computational Science and Engineering (ICCSE 2016), we published the proceedings. The book has been divided into 32 papers, which covered Algorithm, Computational Science and Technology, Application of Computational Science in Industry, Computer science, Information Technology and Intelligent Control, Signal processing, Data analysis and Data statistics, etc. These papers are selected from submitted 109 papers, and have received the instruction and help from many experts, scholars and participants in proceedings preparation. Here we would like to give our sincerely thanks to those who have paid great efforts and supports during the publication of the book.
