Website: https://icctass.aiub.edu/view/home.html The International Conference on Challenges and Trends in Arts and Social Sciences (ICCTASS 2025) was held on 11–12 December 2025 at the American International University–Bangladesh, Dhaka, Bangladesh, under the auspices of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS). The conference was conducted in a hybrid mode, enabling both on-site and virtual participation, and thereby broadening access to scholarly exchange across geographical boundaries. Convened under the theme “Sustainability, Creativity and Ethics: Insights into Interdisciplinary Perspectives and Practices,” ICCTASS 2025 served as a dynamic international forum for exploring contemporary challenges and emerging trends in the arts and social sciences. The central aim of ICCTASS 2025 was to promote interdisciplinary dialogue and research that integrates sustainability, creativity, and ethical reflection across diverse academic and professional fields. In a rapidly changing global landscape marked by environmental crises, technological advancement, social inequality, and ethical uncertainty, the conference emphasized coherent and focused inquiry into socially responsible, environmentally conscious, and culturally inclusive practices. Consistent with its title and scope, the conference foregrounded innovative perspectives that connect theory, policy, and practice within and across disciplines in the arts and social sciences. ICCTASS 2025 marked the second edition of this international conference series and demonstrated significant growth as a global academic platform. The conference received nearly 500 paper submissions, of which 280 papers were registered, and attracted approximately 600 participants from 16 countries, including Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Libya, Malaysia, Namibia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This wide international representation reflects a strong collective commitment to interdisciplinary engagement and global knowledge exchange. The conference was structured around six thematic tracks—Economics; English language and literature; Law; Media and Mass Communication; Public Health; and Social Sciences—each aligned with the overarching theme and designed to highlight innovative research, ethical approaches, and sustainable practices. Across these tracks, contributors addressed critical issues ranging from sustainable economic development and inclusive education to climate justice, ethical AI, public health resilience, media innovation, and inclusive social development. ICCTASS 2025 featured five keynote addresses delivered by distinguished scholars from home and abroad, along with two plenary panel discussions that fostered critical reflection and interdisciplinary dialogue. The organizers gratefully acknowledge the support of the American Center, Bangladesh, as well as the valued contributions of the conference’s co-organizers—Universitas Teuku Umar (Indonesia), Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (Malaysia), and INTI International University (Malaysia). The organizers also extend sincere appreciation to the publication partner, Atlantis Press (Springer Nature), for facilitating the dissemination of selected scholarly works. The papers published in this proceedings volume represent a carefully curated selection of research presented at ICCTASS 2025 and collectively reflect the conference’s commitment to academic rigor, ethical responsibility, and interdisciplinary coherence. It is hoped that this volume will contribute meaningfully to ongoing scholarly debates, strengthen global academic networks, and inspire future research and practice that embed sustainability, creativity, and ethics across the arts and social sciences. The editors express their heartfelt gratitude to all authors, reviewers, keynote speakers, panelists, volunteers, organizers, and participants whose dedication and collaboration made ICCTASS 2025 a success. This proceedings volume stands as both a record of the conference and a testament to the shared pursuit of knowledge for the public good. The opinions expressed and statements made in the individual papers included in this volume are those of the respective authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the editors, the conference organizers, or the publisher.
