- Abstract
This article discusses the urgency of the state to optimally accommodate public participation, particularly in the development of regulations and policies. It is crucial because regulations and policies serve as the foundation and guidelines for the community, particularly indigenous communities, to implement them. However, under current conditions, the role of the community tends to be neglected by not involving them in policy research. New problems arise, which are certainly detrimental to indigenous communities and the environment. Inclusive policies are the answer to this. This study employs socio-legal research methods, focusing on the community and environmental conditions as primary subjects to ensure proper accommodation. The results of this study include an analysis of the urgency of increasing meaningful participation as an effort to realize transparency, the concept of implementing sustainable development regulations in the development of regulations and policies, and efforts to realize inclusive policies in accordance with the SDGs and the Indonesian Development Plan.
