Proceedings of the First Indonesian Communication Forum of Teacher Training and Education Faculty Leaders International Conference on Education 2017 (ICE 2017)

This Conference Proceedings volume contains the written versions of most of the contributions presented during the First Communication Forum of Teacher Training and Education Faculty Leaders (CFTTEFL) International Conference on Education 2017 (ICE 2017) which took place at the Media Centre of Universitas Tadulako Palu, Indonesia from May 19–21, 2017.

This is the first one of a new series of annual Teacher Training and Education Faculty Leaders conferences exploring how creativity and innovation could be effectively implicated in teaching, learning, and educational administration. For many years, the Teacher Training and Education Faculty Leaders have gathered to discuss what the forum could contribute and generate a number of recommendations for the development of the education system in this country. I am delighted to see that the communication forum has again organized a new series of annual conferences that capitalize on our strengths and have built on our common commitment to promoting effective use of the notions of "creative learning" and "innovative teaching" in diverse modes of education. The conference adopts a timely theme, “Creativity and Innovation in teaching and learning to Support National Competitiveness in 21st Century” as I believe that creativity and innovation are becoming increasingly important for the development of the 21st-centuryknowledge society especially to face industry 4.0.

We would like to thank all participants for their contributions to the conference program and for their contributions to these Proceedings. The committee has received 201 abstracts, unfortunately, after deep-seated with a number of considerations we ultimately submitted 146 full papers for publication by Atlantis Press. We give thanks to the Atlantis Press Production Team for wonderful insight and work towards all submitted manuscripts.

It is our pleasant duty to acknowledge the financial support from the Faculty of Teacher’s Training and Education of Universitas Tadulako Palu Indonesia. We also would like to take this opportunity to thank the Conference Organizing Committee for their diligent work, as well as keynote speakers, participants, especially those of you who come from abroad, for joining us and sharing your valuable experiences and ideas. It is essential to bring together experts in diverse educational fields so that we can realize together the potential of Creativity and Innovation in education.
