- Abstract
This paper focuses on the jeans market as its research object. Based on the sales data of a specific jeans manufacturing enterprise, the non-negative matrix factorization model is employed to identify potential features in the two dimensions of color and material. Research has found that in terms of color, consumers mainly have three preferences: cool tones, medium and low saturation color series, and classic color combinations. In terms of materials, it is manifested as a preference for the comfort of pure cotton, a balance preference for the mixture of cotton and functional materials, and a comprehensive preference for economic types that consider both comfort and functionality. This article not only verifies the effectiveness and interpretability of the NMF model in data analysis of the clothing industry, but also provides practical references for jeans enterprises in material selection and color matching decisions, production optimization, and enhancement of market competitiveness.
