Abstract

Blockchain technology provides a system for secure and decentralised data storage, which allows users to operate without trusting middlemen. The deployment of blockchain applications shows a significant gap between theoretical capabilities and practical operational outcomes. Most current decentralised applications (DApps) store actual data files such as images and documents and multimedia content in external systems like cloud servers or distributed networks, but they record only cryptographic references or metadata on the blockchain. The method proves useful, but it depends on outside systems, which violate decentralised principles and create vulnerabilities. The system embeds files into blockchain transactions for permanent storage on the blockchain’s immutable ledger through direct protection, which protects data from loss, censorship, and modification attempts during both infrastructure breakdowns and simultaneous attacks on external storage systems. The research delivers useful information through its analysis of essential data projection elements and decentralised application operational features. The operational success of blockchain technology in healthcare, supply chain management, digital rights management, and financial services depends on the economic and technical characteristics of storage methods. The evaluation process helps developers, organisations, and policymakers choose the best approach for blockchain adoption. Implement through strategic decision-making.
