Abstract

To study the seismic response of underground structures, it is of great value to investigate their performance induced by seismic events. This paper reviews the correlation of ground motion parameters and seismic damage of underground structures, so that the influence of such seismic factors as the peak ground acceleration, peak ground velocity, earthquake magnitude, duration and frequency on the seismic damage of underground structures can be well explained.
