- Abstract
This study examines the translation challenges of Zhoushan’s red tourism texts, focusing on culturally loaded terms like “red gene” and “revolutionary spirit.” Using Skopos Theory, it analyzes official translations and foreign tourist feedback to identify issues such as cultural misunderstandings and ideological barriers. The research proposes adaptive strategies, including hybrid translation and audience-tailored reframing, to enhance cross-cultural communication. Findings aim to improve the global appeal of red tourism while preserving its historical authenticity. The study offers practical insights for translating politically sensitive cultural content.
