- Abstract
This study aims to analyze the level of practicality of Scratch-based interactive learning media developed under the name Scratchformasi on geometry transformation materials, as well as assess its potential in improving students’ critical thinking skills. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with a Design Thinking development model which includes the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The research subjects consisted of 22 students in grade XI of MA Al Otsmani Kajen who participated in a learning media trial. The research instruments include teacher and student practicality questionnaires and critical thinking tests. The results of the validity test showed that six questions were declared valid, with a reliability of 0.582 which was classified as reliable. The difficulty level analysis showed that most of the items were in the medium category, and the differentiating power was in the sufficient category. In addition, the results of the student response questionnaire showed an average percentage of practicality of 93% with the very good category. These results show that the Scratch formation media is practically used in learning, is easy to understand, interesting, and has the potential to improve students’ critical thinking skills on geometry transformation materials.
