- Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate cultural heritage-based critical thinking test items administered at SMAN 1 Semarang using the Ministep software within the framework of modern test theory, specifically the Rasch model. The participants consisted of seventy Grade XI students who had previously learned trigonometric comparison concepts. The instrument comprised twenty Ennis-based critical thinking items representing six indicators: focus, reason, inference, situation, clarity, and overview, with contextual elements derived from the cultural heritage sites and architectural features surrounding SMAN 1 Semarang. The Rasch analysis produced strong psychometric results, with a Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.91, an item reliability of 0.93, and a person reliability of 0.91. Except for two invalid items (4c and 4d), the remaining items met the required validity criteria. The item difficulty distribution was balanced 30% difficult, 45% moderate, 15% easy, and 10% very easy. The instrument demonstrated good discriminative power, indicated by an item separation index of 3.69 (H = 5) and a person separation index of 3.16 (H = 5). The unidimensionality test showed an explained variance of 43.7%, exceeding the minimum threshold of 20%, indicating that the instrument is psychometrically sound and suitable for assessing critical thinking skills within a cultural heritage-based context.
