Website: https://icess.unram.ac.id/ The 7th International Conference on Education and Social Sciences (ICESS 2025) was organized by the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at the University of Mataram in collaboration with Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia as the co-host. The conference carried the theme “Empowering Education and Social Sciences for Sustainable Development, Global Competitiveness, and Local Impact.” Under this theme, the conference aimed to explore the important intersection between sustainability, technology, and education. The conference was conducted in a hybrid format on 9th –10th October 2025 in Mataram, Indonesia. Participants joined the conference from several countries, including China, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the United States of America, and contributed through five types of presentations. The conference featured plenary sessions that set the direction for discussions, invited speaker presentations that highlighted expert perspectives, parallel sessions presenting a wide range of research, interactive workshops offering hands-on learning experiences, and poster presentations showcasing innovative ideas visually. Throughout the event, participants actively engaged in meaningful discussions and exchanged knowledge on topics such as Teaching and Learning, Educational Structures, Community and Society, Language and Culture, and Innovation and Technology. In line with the conference theme and topics, we invited four keynote speakers and seven invited speakers from various institutions around the world. The keynote and invited speakers included Dr. Zhenyu (David) Zhang (Murdoch University, Australia), Prof. Dr. Arifuddin, M.Pd (University of Mataram, Indonesia), Dr. Na Jiang (Shangrao Normal University, People’s Republic of China), Donita Grissom, Ph.D (University of Central Florida, USA), Lalu Muhammad Hayyanul Haq, SH., LLM., Ph.D (University of Mataram, Indonesia), Prof. Diswandi, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., CRP (University of Mataram, Indonesia), Noor Qomaria Agustina, S.Pd., M.Hum, Ph.D (Kent State University, Ohio, USA), Dr. Mimi Nahariah Azwani Binti Mohamed (Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, Malaysia), Ratih Ayu Apsari, M.Pd., M.Sc. (University of California, Berkeley, USA), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mazlina Binti Che Mustafa (Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Malaysia), and I Putu Indra Kusuma, S.Pd., M.Pd., Ph.D (Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha, Indonesia). The organizing committee devoted significant effort to ensure the successful implementation of this conference. This event would not have been possible without the dedication and collaboration of all committee members. We sincerely appreciate everyone who contributed to making this conference possible.
