Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has significantly transformed managerial practices in the educational sector. As a result, school principals are increasingly required to acquire and apply technology-based managerial skills to enhance both institutional effectiveness and overall school performance. This study investigates the role of these skills in driving improvements in school outcomes. Employing a qualitative research approach, the study utilized case studies conducted at several secondary schools. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis, and were subsequently analyzed using data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that principals who are proficient in utilizing digital tools are better able to streamline administrative operations, accelerate decision-making processes, and foster digital collaboration among stakeholders within the school community. Furthermore, the implementation of digital platforms enhances transparency and accountability in school management practices. Overall, the results demonstrate that technology-based managerial competencies play a vital role in improving school performance. These findings emphasize the necessity of strengthening digital capabilities among school leaders to effectively address the complex challenges of educational leadership in the 21st century.
