Abstract

This study aims to analyze users’ needs for the I-CIBI application, a technology-based solution to identify the potential of gifted and talented children. This application is designed to provide data-driven tests and assessments that cover various aspects of a child’s abilities, including general intellectual ability, specific academic talents, creative or productive thinking, leadership skills, visual and performing arts, and psychomotor skills. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a survey approach involving 29 respondents, consisting of teachers and parents. The results show that the I-CIBI application is user-friendly and meets users’ needs in terms of ease of use and accuracy of identification results. However, additional features must be added, such as follow-up recommendations and parental guides. This application also requires further development in terms of technology to overcome technical problems. This re- search provides valuable recommendations for further developing the I-CIBI application to support further identifying the potential of intelligence and special talents in children.
