Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for the implementation of the servant leadership model by school principals in order to improve teacher professionalism in the era of the Industrial Revolution 6.0. This analysis identifies the main challenges faced by school principals in supporting teacher professional development, including the need for increased digital competence, work motivation, and adaptation to technological change. This descriptive study aims to analyze the need for a servant leadership model among school principals in the Era of Revolution 6.0 to improve teacher professionalism. A sample of 40 principals was selected from a population of 67 using proportional random sampling. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed descriptively using percentage analysis with SPSS version 20.0. The research findings show that the implementation of servant leadership by school principals has the potential to improve the quality of teaching, strengthen the school’s organizational climate, and support teacher readiness in facing the challenges of education in the digital era. This can be seen from the indicators seen in terms of primary service, empathy, empowerment, commitment and development, awareness, openness and effective communication, and recognition of achievement showing a high score with an average of 4.39. This indicates that this principal’s servant leadership model is very much needed. Thus, this study recommends the servant leadership model as a strategic approach to strengthen the role of school principals in facilitating continuous teacher professional development.
