Abstract

Maturidi school is one of the two pillars of Sunni theology in Islamic theology. In this article the author gives us a detailed commentary on the theory of God's Decree and Man's Destiny of Maturidi School. According to Maturidi school Man has the freedom in his actions, God's Decree is not inconsistent with his freedom, nor does imply any compulsion on the part of him, but at the same time he is not absolutely free, God plays an undeniable role in enabling him to do so. In the treatment of the problem of Predestination and Free Will that related God's decree, Maturidi school successfully applied dialectical principles to ensure the supremacy of the Scriptures and at the same time upheld the role of the reason. They maintained a more rational and tolerant attitude toward the issue of God's decree.
