Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Indonesian Economy and Development (ICIED 2017)

The 2nd International Conference of Indonesian Economy and Development was held in Jakarta at 14-15 of August 2017, organized by Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia.

Raising the theme of “Economic Research and Policy in The Changing World”, The conference aimed to be one of international academic hubs of sharing knowledge in policies and issues of Indonesian economy and development. The 2nd ICIED invited two keynote speakers, Rema Hanna of Harvard Kennedy School and Bambang P.S. Brodjonegoro of Indonesian National Planning Agency. In addition, two plenary sessions were held, inviting six speakers from Japan, Australia, and Indonesia. The presenters also came from various countries, including Japan, Malaysia, Australia, and Prancis.

The 2nd ICIED received more than 340 abstract submissions, 120 manuscripts were selected and presented in the conference after double peer review process. All manuscripts are classified into 14 research fields, covering Global Uncertainty and Micro-Macro Prudential, to Islamic Economics, Zakat, and Waqf. Among the presented manuscripts, 50 manuscripts were accepted as proceedings. About 42 manuscripts will be published in our supporting journals.

This conference is possible with full supports and hard work from all parties in organizing and holding the event. We also thank all contributors, reviewers, speakers, KPPRI UI, sponsors, supporting journals and publishers, and all members of organizing and scientific committees. Thank you.
