Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Language, Art and Cultural Exchange (ICLACE 2021)

It is a great delight to introduce the 2nd International Conference on Language, Art and Cultural Exchange (ICLACE 2021), which held during May 21-23 in Dali, China. ICLACE 2021 is to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of Literature, Art and Cultural Exchange research to a common forum. The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and developmental activities in Literature, Art and Human Development research and the other goal is to promote scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working all around the world. The conference will be held every year to make it an ideal platform for people to share views and experiences in Literature, Art and Human Development research and related areas.

About 120 participants from academic, high-education institutes and other organizations took part in the conference. The conference model was divided into two sessions, including oral presentations and keynote speeches. In the first part, some scholars, whose submissions were selected as the excellent papers, were given 15 minutes to perform their oral presentations one by one. Then in the second part, keynote speakers were each allocated 30-45 minutes to hold their speeches. We were very honored to have Prof. Qiduan Chen, from Jimei University, China as our Conference Chairman.

In the keynote presentation part, we invited four professors as our keynote speakers. The first keynote speaker, A. Prof. Nadeem Akhtar, from School of Urban Culture, South China Normal University Nanhai Campus, Foshan, Guangdong, China. He performed a speech: The Interplay of Cultural and Academic Exchanges under China’s Belt and Road Initiative: Inroads into Multiple Corridors. This study applied an ethnographic approach to analyzing visuals collected during visits to various historical and cultural sites in Peshawar and Lahore, in Pakistan, followed by in-depth interviews with local officials. The second keynote speaker, A. Prof.Geuntae Park, from Guangdong University of Technology, Guangdong, China. He presented an insightful speech: Exhibition – a language for curators and museums. Prof. Qingjiang Wang, from Kunming University of Science & Technology, China. He delivered a wonderful speech: A Study of Misreading in Canonical Texts from the Perspective of Language Dynamics. The research investigated how misreading of canonical texts occurs and it functions in the process of human development through analysis on the basis of language dynamics. Our finale keynote speaker, Prof. Li Sha, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, China, performed a speech: Polychrome Painting Art of Official Architecture in Ming Dynasty.

The proceedings present a selection of high-quality papers submitted to the conference by researchers from universities, research institutes, and industry. All papers were subjected to peer-review by conference committee members and international reviewers. The papers were selected based on their quality and their relevance to the conference. The topics include but are not limited to:1. Linguistics; 2. Literature; 3. Culture; 4. Art; 5. Aesthetics; 6. Philosophy; 7. History; 8. Other related topics.

I would like to express special gratitude to members of the conference committee and organizers of the conference. I would also like to thank the reviewers for their valuable time and advice which helped in improving the quality of the papers selected for presentation at the conference and for publication in the proceedings.
