Abstract

In the era of new media, the form of the film festival itself affected by the epidemic is also in the process of gradual change. It is not only limited to commercial operations such as film trading and publicity, but also cultural consumption such as ceremonial screenings and awards, and constructs diversified ritual situations and ritual behaviors. As an interactive ceremony, the premise, ritual process, and ritual effect of the online film festival make the interactive ceremony of watching movies in the online film festival another public realm for fans who stay at home during the epidemic. Therefore, this paper aims to use the theoretical perspective of the interactive ritual chain to discuss a series of ritualistic behaviors in the special ritual field represented by online film festivals to reshape the sense of viewing ritual and establish the culture of film fans, which is of great significance for the development of future film festivals.
