Abstract

With the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, sales of printed books have been affected to varying degrees worldwide. For a while, the future trends of the print book industry were met with concern. This paper uses young adult fiction sales in Australia and the United States as a study to analyse the impact of the pandemic on print book sales. The article also examines the question of whether e-book distribution can replace the print segment in the young adult fiction sector.
