Abstract

This paper unravels the transformative journey of art curation practices from the silent, intimate spaces of traditional galleries to the immersive and interactive realms of virtual reality (VR). It highlights the pivotal role of technological innovation and creative experimentation in expanding the boundaries of artistic experience and audience engagement. By tracing the evolution of art curation, the paper analyzes how traditional practices, marked by the physical ambiance, have metamorphosed into digital and VR curations, characterized by accessibility, interactivity, and immersive experiences. With case studies like Google Arts & Culture serving as benchmarks, this exploration underscores the multifaceted impacts of this evolution, not only in the presentation and consumption of art but also in the enriched narrative and global accessibility it affords. The paper posits that as art curation continues to evolve, it extends an invitation to a universal audience to step into an ever-expanding tapestry of artistic expressions, seamlessly woven together by technology and creativity.
